I want to start an organization helping people, and weighing my options. I ran across Halo Consumer Advocates, SSM, where they educated me on the differences, of a Self-Supporting Ministry (SSM), and other corporation such as a 501(c)3 as well as all of its benefits. After this consultation I spoke with my attorney, and they also agreed with this model for my business. I am glad that I came across Halo Consumer Advocates, SSM as forming one for my purpose was a much better option rather than a Non-Profit. I was happy to find out that having an actual church was not necessary.
